The Influenza Vaccines and Antiviral Medications in Pregnancy Study - a VAMPSS project

Should I get the flu shot even though I'm pregnant? How is it different from the old H1N1 vaccine? Will it affect my baby? Is there a certain trimester I should receive the flu shot? If these are just some of your many questions about the influenza vaccine and pregnancy, let Dr. Maryam Tarsa, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist with UCSD, provide you with answers in the above video.

OTIS needs volunteers like you. You can help other pregnant women - please volunteer today! If you are pregnant, and have received an influenza vaccine (2009 seasonal flu vaccine, 2009 H1N1 vaccine, or 2010-2011 combined flu vaccine) and/or antiviral medications, you may be able to help. Please call or email to learn more about this research study.
